The secret of a good job advert

On 12 September last year, the 11th edition of the event took place. annual professional conference for HR professionals and recruiters under the title
New Vision in HR.

This event attracts dozens of experts on this topic every year. The aim is to present new trends in the field of human resources.
We also contributed with our lecture “Distinguish yourself and attract attention” with the subtitle “The secret of a good advertisement”. At the same time, we acted as a partner of the event for the first time.
We bring you a closer look at the topic presented at the forum by our colleague Jozefína Plevová.

It is important to remember that a job offer is actually your sales tool.

There are currently a record number of job advertisements on the job market. In our view, it is essential that job offers differentiate themselves if they are to attract candidates who are increasingly passive and do not need to look for work acutely.
Unemployment is at historic lows and therefore it is essential to stand out from the crowd of almost identical adverts.
It is important to remember that a job offer is actually your sales tool.
Your goal in writing an interesting advert should be:

1. Differentiate yourself, be different
2. Create an idea/image
3. Induce emotion
4. Get the right people involved

In order to achieve your goals, you need to change your mindset when creating your advert.

WHAT to write

  • Who are we and what do we do?
  • What will the candidate do?
  • HOW will it do?
  • WHO will he work with?
  • Who’s going to teach him?
  • WHO are we looking for?
  • WHY us?

HOW to write?

  • Correctly called
  • In the form of a description
  • Clearly and clearly
  • eloquently
  • Easily imaginable
  • Human

We like examples from practice because they help a person understand the situation better.
In the following example, we will introduce you to the job description, responsibilities and authority of a process engineer.

Recruiters are said to be able to spot a quality CV in seconds.
The reverse is also true. If the applicant loses himself in competences, general terms and boring sentences, it may happen that he does not create a good enough image of the company and the advertisement will not be responded to.

We’ll show you how engagingly the same job description can be written if you change your mindset.

It is clear to the candidate what the position is, what they will be doing and what responsibilities await them.
At the same time, it is written in a light, free form, without unnecessary ballast and too long sentences.

We see the situation very similarly with regard to the applicant requirements.

Write simply, directly and engagingly. Step out of the grey average of job ads and attract the best in the market. The job offer is your working tool.
